I came across a Facebook memory of a video I took when Lil Gent went potty in the toilet for the first time.

It was May 12, 2018. Mini Stylist and I were celebrating big time. We were all definitely having a Happy Potty Dance. It was one of those special memories that just gives you the warm and fuzzy. And how lucky am I to have captured it to remind me?

Just a few months prior, I became a single mother when their dad and I finalized our divorce, and the minis and I moved back to my home state of Ohio.

This holiday also reminds me of Look Who’s Talking when John Travolta and Kirstie Alley were singing Eddie Murphy’s “Party All the Time” but replacing the word “party” with the word “potty”––apologies if that song is going to be in your head for a while.

But my favorite potty memory, though, is when the Minis and I went to the zoo with besties Lisa and Marcy. We discovered the tiniest toilet and, at 4 feet, 11 — (AND A HALF)” inches tall, I proudly felt like Big Man on campus.

What extent did you go to when potty training your little ones? And what are you celebrating today?
