I was a hopeless romantic who grew up devouring romcoms and John Hughes movies. Somewhere between growing up and becoming a mom, I realized the best romcoms were never really about the guy.

They were about a woman in the middle of her own life, trying to figure out who she is while everything around her is in motion. The love story was just the frame.

It started with Everyday Sillybrations: a question my daughter asked on National French Fry Day about whether there's a holiday every day. That question became a daily ritual of finding reasons to celebrate the small stuff, and slowly, it became this. I celebrated random holidays on social media for over 1,000 consecutive days! And though the daily ritual has passed, its spirit hasn't. It still shows up in what I post and still inspires the way I see everyday moments as worth celebrating.
